Why do I use a simple and minimlist approach to newborn photography?

When you take away the props and bright colours focus is all on this precious little human - they are just adorable without all the extra fluff which will no doubt date in years to come. A simplistic approach means you can focus more on connection. The beautiful connection between mum baby, dad, siblings. Having props and baskets I feel takes away from this. 

Womb is the word that always comes to mind when I am positioning your baby. Babies love to curl up like they did in the womb. The first image in this series of images of Little Fletcher to me defines womb - he could be still wrapped up in mums belly and looks so peaceful!  

Simple. Natural. Timeless - this is how I have started my journey with newborns and how I will stay. I just think they are perfect how they are.
